From Noah to Abraham is the second in a series of comprehensive commentaries on the book of Genesis which the late Professor Umberto Cassuto had planned as part of a magnum opus, embracing the whole Pentateuch and also the book of Psalms.

with Tyre, reference is made to the inhabitants of the coasts of Elishah (v. 7), Tarshish (v. 12), and again in juxtaposition in one verse (v. 13), Javan, Tubal and Meshech, and immediately afterwards (v. 14) Beth-togarmah. It is further written in Ezekiel 32:26, in the description of Sheol: MESHECH AND TUBAL are there, and all their multitude.
